PEP Bridges the gap

E fofō e le alamea le alamea

(The answer for a community's problems
comes from within that community.)

Samoan Proverb

Pacific Enterprise People (PEP) is a Pacific-owned business
supporting Pacific people and communities
to connect to opportunity.

Here's how we've helped:

Training & Workshops | Community Group Governance

Whau Walking Communities (WWC) is a community group of older Pacific people who regularly gather for exercise and fellowship.

PEP was tasked by Whau Local Board to equip the WWC committee to meet compliance requirements in order to continue to receive local board funding. This included bilingual workshops (Samoan and English) and co-design of easy-to-follow templates for committee meetings.

Consulting | Early Childhood Education

Amata Aoga PIC Avondale (AAPICA) is a well-established ECE (Early Childhood Education) centre in Avondale, West Auckland.

AAPICA approached PEP to assist with relaunching its brand after ten years serving the community. Among other services, including facilitating board-level strategic development for the next ten years, PEP connected AAPICA to technical support available to charities through technology firms such as Google. PEP also supports AAPICA in the implementation of technologies.

Pacific Education Navigator | Ministry of Education

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has introduced a tranche of funding available to education providers and community groups.

MoE approached PEP to facilitate online group and one-on-one sessions with community and educational groups to help them understand the funding available, the criteria and the application process. PEP helped the MoE connect with new community groups, and led to a rise in the number of applications.

Commercialising Passion | Empower-me Consulting

Valeria Edwards and Sa'e Saena are community managers and administrators who help a lot of people through their work in the Kelston community hub.

Valeria and Sa'e approached PEP to help develop their shared passions into a business, with a brand identity, vision, mission and values and online presence. The result is Empower-me Consulting.
